Wood, George George Wood took me and my two mates in his car to Old Trafford, Manchester. To watch the Manchester United v Everton Game, which sadly Everton won. An absolute gent. I was invited back to his home in Parbold and went to his local pub where said to me "loser buys the drinks"!

WOOD, George I became a Blue because of George Wood. He was handsome, tall, blonde, blue eyes and that accent - what was there not to like. I would wait to see him after every home game and walk with him to his car. When he left Everton to join Arsenal I was the saddest Blue on Merseyside!! When Arsenal played Liverpool I made my uncle (a red) take me to Anfield just to see George. I waited for him outside and couldn't believe it when he saw me & said "what are you doing here?". When I told him I was there to see him he couldn't believe it and I was so happy that he remembered me. He was actually in his car so I walked him to his car. My uncle wasn't happy he had to leave Ray Clemence and join me and George.
