Do you have any interesting, happy, or humorous memories of Bobby?
If so, please let us know and we will be happy to share them with the world!
Bobby is my Dad. He is now 80 years young and besides the usual aches and pains of being 80 he is in fine fettle, still playing lots of golf and going to the gym. He doesnt look 80, hopefully I have inherited those genes. We catch up often and he loves to talk football and the old days which my partner loves as he is football mad !!!!
Bobby’s mother was my nan's sister, my mother was his cousin (my second cousin). I have an autographed Crystal Palace programme and an old pair of shin pads with “bones inâ€, Jim Langley of Fulham held the longest throw in of about 72 feet, bobby took the record with a throw of over 144 feet and they were stationary no run in
I am moving into the same apartment block as Bobby very soon but I don't know how much he values his privacy so I won't say where it is. I saw him play at Cardiff a few times. People tell me he's a very nice person.
Cousin to Bobby, his father and my father where brothers. Knew him when I lived in Liverpool.
Was in school with his son also named Bobby but now goes by the name Rob. In 1976 Bobby started coaching kids football in the Vale of Glamorgan league as he lived in Wenvoe at the time we were named Wenvoe FC most of us came from Barry. I would just like to say thank you Bobby still have found memories
Supported Palace for 60 years this year and my all time favourite player has always been Bobby Woodruff. I can remember so many games he played in, unfortunately when Malcolm Allison became manager/coach he did not take to Bobby. A player that always gave his best under his old Swindon manager Bert Head when he was Palace manager.
Had my photo taken with Bobby about 15 years ago at a players reunion. Unfortunately my wife deleted it by mistake.
Would love to meet up with him again. Maybe he will be at the Palace v Cardiff match next season
Hope to see you in the directors box bar Allison suite next season
Keep well Bobby
