Paul Wratten Paul Wratten - I grew up with Paul in priestfelds middlesbrough we where always playing football down on the school fields Southland's footy pitches or the bottom of hexham green garages at the bottom of Paul's road with the likes of Stewart McFee - Alan Johnson - Peter Davies - Darren Appleyard. - Paul Smith and me Dave Scott
Paul Wratten was a very good young talented footballer along with stewey McFee both of them ( Paul + stewey ) wer excellent footballers with great footballing. Skills , talent and potential to be professional footballers later in life . Stewart would amaze me the way he played football with a tennis ball and Paul would tackle you inside out , his ability to move quickly and tackle his opponent's was very skillful .
We used to play footy all day and every day from sun up to sun down .
Over the years as time went on things progressed for Paul and Stewey and there football career took off only to learn that both Paul and stewey had lost there career's in professional football .
So sad to hear about Stewart McFee passing away god bless his soul wat a footballer he was along with Paul .another case of falling idols battling with there demons still I grew up with these lads who we all had a lot of time for each other every day each day ,still remember them days looking back all them years growing up in priestfields .
I remember Paul Wratten bringing Ryan Biggs and Lee sharp to priestfields and having a game footy down on the school fields at Southland's footy pitches with Paul ,Ryan + Lee along with appy ,johno, smigga n Pete .
